Celebrity cast, canine stars and Christmas spirit come together to raise vital funds for abandoned dogs.

London is preparing for a very special pantomime as dog rescue and rehoming charity All Dogs Matter brings Pupperella
to The Gatehouse Upstairs, Highgate, from 19 to 22 November.

A dog-friendly twist on the classic Cinderella story, Pupperella promises all the ingredients of a traditional festive pantomime: wicked characters, wonderful music, plenty of laughs and audience participation. But there is one special difference: real dogs will join the actors on stage.

The cast includes radio presenter Jo Good, actor and animal advocate Peter Egan, Coronation Street star Rula Lenska and film producer Sadie Frost. EastEnders star Michelle Collins will narrate the show. Broadcaster and host of A Dog’s Life Podcast Anna Webb will also appear alongside her English toy terrier, Mr Binks.

At the heart of Pupperella is a serious cause. Every ticket sold will help All Dogs Matter rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs that have been abandoned, neglected or left without a home through no fault of their own.

Audiences can expect a fun-filled retelling of Cinderella, with Pupperella taking centre stage alongside her canine co-stars. From fairy-tale magic to four-legged mischief, the dogs will help bring the story to life.

BBC broadcaster Jo Good said: “I am so thrilled to be invited to play a guest role as the Wicked Stepmother, I haven’t been in a Panto for years! And what could be better being on stage with canine co-stars? It’s that we’re raising funds for All Dogs Matter to help dogs in need!”
Anna Webb said: “Mr Binks and I can’t wait to be part of Pupperella. He’s quite at home in the spotlight, and I can’t think of a better reason to tread the boards than helping All Dogs Matter give more dogs the chance of a safe and loving home. We’re looking forward to sharing a little Christmas magic with the audience.”

All Dogs Matter’s CEO, Ira Moss, added:  “Pupperella is a wonderful way to bring people together to celebrate dogs while doing something genuinely important for those dogs that don’t yet have a family to call their own. We can’t wait to see our wonderful canine performers sharing the stage with some brilliant actors and hopefully stealing a few scenes along the way!”
