A leading veterinary chiropractor and an innovative pet wellness company have joined forces in a bid to help dogs stay healthier, happier and more mobile for longer.
Chordata Canine Rehabilitation, based in Benfleet, Essex, has begun working alongside OxyPet, the oxygen-enriched hydration company co-founded by Wickford entrepreneur Lindsey John Taylor, combining hands-on rehabilitation with advanced hydration to support dogs of all ages and abilities.
The collaboration brings together Dr Stuart Lawrence’s specialist chiropractic care and rehabilitation programmes with patented nano-bubble oxygen technology, which infuses Cornish spring water with more than ten times the level of dissolved oxygen found in ordinary water to support hydration, circulation and recovery.
Dr Lawrence, who spent more than 19 years working in human chiropractic practice before specialising in animal chiropractic 8 years ago, creates bespoke rehabilitation programmes to help dogs recovering from injury, managing arthritis or simply feeling the effects of ageing. Treatment includes chiropractic adjustments, tailored exercises and advanced rehabilitation techniques designed to improve mobility and quality of life.
The pair believe that combining expert musculoskeletal care with optimum hydration gives dogs the best opportunity to remain active and comfortable.
Dr Stuart Lawrence said: “My goal has always been to help dogs move more freely and comfortably so they can enjoy the highest possible quality of life.
“Every rehabilitation programme is tailored to the individual dog because no two patients are the same. By restoring healthy movement and improving the way the body functions, we can often help dogs become more active, more comfortable and more confident.
“What I like about working alongside OxyPet is that we’re both looking at the dog as a whole. Rehabilitation doesn’t stop when the adjustment is finished – it’s about supporting the body every day, and good hydration plays an important role in that.”
OxyPet has attracted growing attention for its nano-bubble oxygen-infused spring water, which is designed to increase oxygen availability without chemicals, salts or additives. The company says the enhanced hydration can help support circulation, stamina and recovery as part of a healthy lifestyle, particularly in active, ageing and flat-faced breeds.
Lindsey John Taylor, co-founder of OxyPet, said: “We’ve always believed that no single product is a magic solution. The best outcomes come when dogs receive the right care from experienced professionals and owners are proactive about supporting their wellbeing every day.
“Chordata’s approach fits perfectly with our philosophy. Stuart is helping dogs physically through expert rehabilitation, while OxyPet supports them through enhanced hydration and oxygen availability. Together, we hope to help more dogs stay active and mobile, and enjoy life for longer.
“It’s exciting to be working with someone who shares our passion for improving quality of life rather than simply treating symptoms.”
Dr Lawrence said more owners are now looking beyond traditional treatments and embracing a broader approach to canine wellbeing.
“We’re seeing increasing numbers of owners wanting to keep their dogs moving well into old age rather than waiting until there’s a serious problem,” he said.
“By combining expert rehabilitation, appropriate exercise, owner education and everyday support including superior hydration, we’re giving dogs every opportunity to stay healthy, active and comfortable throughout their lives.”
Both Chordata Canine Rehabilitation and OxyPet hope the partnership will encourage more owners to take a proactive approach to their dog’s long-term health, mobility and wellbeing.
