It’s very hard to say goodbye to a friend you’ve known for your entire life, but it was an inevitable suffering for Lynn, a little girl living in Holland. Her elderly Bulldog, Jaden, was getting old when she was born, and yet they forged an incredible bond in their short time together. Lynn’s father, Jeffrey Bakker, captured the pair’s friendship through his photography, and he knew the images would be become a way of preserving cherished memories for Lynn, and something for her to look back on in the future.
Jaden passed away on 8 September this year, at the age of 13 and a half. Lynn was by his side. Here is their photo story, right up until the end, kindly given to us by Jeffrey…
