Our upcoming Q and A for our February issue covers a sensitive subject: losing a pet.
It is a sad reality that dogs don't live as long as we do. As a result, we all know someone who grieved, or will grieve, the loss of their dog; many of us have been there as well. As the moving story of Walnut's last walk showed, however, owners are not, and should not, be alone in their grief.
In your experience, what is the best way to support someone whose dog has just died or is about to be put to sleep? And if you were the grieving one, what kind of support did you feel you needed at the time?
