They were the classic outdoor wedding photographs - with a twist. Instead of peonies or roses, bride Sarah Cain, from Pennsylvania, decided to have her bridal party pose with some adorable rescue puppies instead!
Sarah and her husband Matt are dedicated to dog rescue, so thought it only natural to incorporate a gorgeous litter of rescue Boxer-Coonhound crosses on their big day. The puppies were lent out for the event from Pitties.Love.Peace, a non-profit organisation of which Sarah is a board member.
Wedding photographer Caroline Logan had quite a task on her hands to get her shots in.
"Having the puppies involved in the wedding brought so much additional joy to Matt and Sarah’s day." Caroline told Metro. "The puppies of course caused the photos to be extra natural, candid and carefree – exactly what I strive for in my work.
"And of course, the bridal party loved it! From the minute the puppies came bounding around the corner exploring their new surroundings, the bridesmaids were gushing about how cute they were. It was a dream for everyone!"
The lucky groomsmen got a cuddle in too!
The puppies are all sisters - with the exception of the bride's favourite, Biggie Smalls - and are named after first five First Ladies of the United States: Martha, Abigail, Dolly, Elizabeth and Louisa. Being rescue pups, they are up for new homes, but given their fame on the internet (not to mention their gorgeous floppy-flappy ears), it's doubtful they'll be waiting for long.
